The Citywide
Stay-Out organized by the Coalition to Save Our Neighborhood Schools on
January 31, 2008 brought out students, teachers, parents and community
activists from across DC in protest against the closing and
restructuring of DC public schools.
The Meeting to
Boycott the 23 held on January 17, 2008 was a huge success! Over
200 parents, teachers, students and concerned citizens attended, more
than the total number who attendend Fenty and Rhee's absurd 23
simultaneous meetings.
